24 Hour Hollywood Rush – Rush to write, direct, perform and save lives on Feb 20th!

Matthew has been a previous participant in the New York City staged 24 Hour Plays, his last performance was onstage with Sam Rockwell and John Hawkes.
This year, he is stepping behind stage as a director as the event is launched in Los Angeles!

Forty of Hollywood’s most talented writers, directors and actors will come together to pull off a creative feat unlike anything they’ve ever attempted.

The work starts the evening before the show. A group of writers will have 12 hours to compose six 10-minute plays. At 8 a.m. on the morning of the event, the scripts will be handed off to an assembly of directors and actors who will then rehearse the material into the afternoon. After a technical rehearsal and red carpet arrivals, the show starts—only 24 hours after the process began.

VIP ticket holders will then celebrate the success of the night along with the shows celebrity performers, writers and directors at a cocktail reception at the beautiful historic Wilshire Ebell Clubhouse.

Join us for a new kind of Rush … a Rush to educate and inform … a Rush to save lives.

This fundraiser will benefit the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center’s Crystal Meth Recovery Services to treat meth addiction and prevent young gay suicide.

As we cannot be in the audience of the stunning and beautiful Wilshire Ebell Theatre, we have bought two ‘Sponsored’ tickets to be given to a client from the Center’s Youth, Meth Recovery and Seniors programs to attend. If you cannot attend but want to support this charity and Matthew’s directing, please give thought to purchasing a ticket for someone else to attend!

Prices start from $30 for general admission up to $240 for a VIP package!
