Tonight Matthew guest stars on Leverage as Gabe Erickson, in Series 5 episode 7 titled The Real Fake Car Job!

Aldis Hodge who plays Alec Hardison will be live blogging the episode for Entertainment Weekly! Matthew has already said he’ll tune in to see what Aldis says about the episode, so be sure to join him here on Popwatch when the episode airs!

The Real Fake Car Job episode synopsis is as follows, “The ‘Leverage’ team fakes the discovery of a legendary antique car in order to convince a Wall Street fraud to break the immunity deal that protects him from prosecution.”
Written by Josh Schaer and directed by John Harrison, we hope to see Matthew’s character do a bit of everything as Leverage is such a fun programme to watch with a great cast.

Lucky American viewers are able to see the opening scenes with Matthew on iTunes, but for those of us who can’t see it.
Here’s the more indepth explanation of what happens in the opening scenes so don’t read below if you don’t want to be spoiled before the episode, from The Examiner.

“It begins with Lillard’s Gabe Erickson telling a mother and son that even though a sign says the Internet is free, that just means it’s available. She hands over the cash, but he’s distracted when Nate drives by in an antique car. Gabe looks at the woman sitting outside the store in her car, reading a book and tells his customers he’s on break before going out the back.

Gabe finds Nate, who stops him from touching the car. Gabe is clearly into antique cars and explains he “used to be” an owner. Is Nate’s “Sorry to hear it. It’s a shame to lose something you love so much” the mastermind planting the seed for something later on in the con? He tells Gabe he should go to a vintage competition the following day, explaining it’s why he had his car shipped over. He gives him a card for Fields Shipping & Freight, telling him he keeps his collection offshore and does most of his own shipping. Gabe’s hooked.

It looks like this is going to be an episode that people who love cars will enjoy, and Lillard’s Gabe is an intriguing mark so far. If the rest of the episode is anything like this clip, he’s going to impress viewers. So what does Nate have planned for him?”

And just why is the brilliantly talented Chris Kane in the shadows? We’ll have to tune in to see!
